STYLE ICON FOR THE MONTH: Angela Simmons

The Style Icon for this Month is Angela Simmons. Angela was born on
September 19, 1987 in Saddle River, New Jersey, USA. Angela is a
fashion designer, MTV Celebrity, and editor of the magazine 'Angela's
Rundown'.

She is the second daughter of Joseph Simmons ( a.k.a. "Reverend Run")
and Valerie Vaughn. She graduated from Fashion High School of NYC,
with an average grade of A and she continued her studies in the
Fashion Institute of Technology.

She is currently handling her own magazine, Angela's Rundown. She also
has a new executive title under the Word Up! She and her elder sister,
Vanessa, opened a sneaker line named Pastry. The name 'Pastry' was
gotten from their fashion-involved relatives Russell and Kimora Lee
Simmons, and their love for pastries and cute colours. It was inspired
by their hip-hop dynasty too.

The first collection of Pastry Sneakers was called Cake, which
included Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Mousse, Sprinkles, and Red
Velvet which all literally looked like cakes. Each of the sneakers
comes with its own lip gloss which matches the theme of the sneaker.

She appeared in Bow Wow's video "Shorty Like Mine". Rev Run confirmed
she was dating Bow Wow in 2007 in his book "Take Back Your Family".

She has also appeared in MTV's reality TV show entitled Run's House.

In January 2009, both she and Vanessa topped in their own "Run's
House" reality series spin off, "Daddy's Little Girls" aired on MTV.
In 2010 she appeared as a guest artiste in The Mo'Nique Show: Episode
Season 2, Episode 17. In 2011, she appeared as a guest artiste in
Anderson: Are Parents Playing Favorites? Season 1, Episode 27.

I picked Angela Simmons because she is gorgeous and innovative. She is
also a great fashion designer and she has great taste of fashion too.

Thanks for stopping by.
